Parenting Coordination and Facilitation
Guiding Families Toward Peaceful Co-Parenting Solutions
Parenting coordination and facilitation are tools used by the court to help parents better navigate the challenges that co-parenting can bring after the dissolution of the parents’ relationship. A parenting coordinator or parenting facilitator works with the specific needs of the family to build better and healthy relationships between the parents that ultimately improves the parent-child relationship as well.
Our family law attorneys offer unique strategies to empower parents to work together for the betterment of their children. Co-parenting is not always easy, but our lawyers are uniquely qualified to help through our training and experience in and out of the courtroom. We strive to help parents communicate more effectively with each other and to make life less chaotic for the parents and, most importantly, their children.
Jodi McShan is a board-certified family law attorney who also has her LLM in family law. Having practiced family law exclusively since 2011 has put her in an excellent position to help families. Jodi combines that experience with her undergraduate degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University. She uses this unique combination of skills and experience to help parents understand each other and then to work together in a more cohesive manner while respecting the individual perspectives of each parent and the needs of their children.
At McShan Law, we understand that parenting coordination and facilitation often occur during emotionally charged and challenging times. That’s why we’ve designed our services with your convenience, flexibility, and peace of mind in mind. We offer both in-person and virtual meeting options to best meet the individual needs of every client and family dynamic we serve. Whether you’re co-parenting across town or managing a complex parenting arrangement, our goal is to make the coordination process accessible and effective without creating additional hardship or scheduling burdens.
Our virtual sessions are conducted through secure platforms that allow all parties to fully participate while respecting their time, work commitments, and family obligations. In-person sessions are available at our centrally located office, providing a safe, neutral, and welcoming environment for discussion and resolution. For added accessibility, we also offer flexible scheduling options, including early morning, evening, and weekend availability by appointment. This ensures that our sessions do not interfere with school, work, or other daily responsibilities.
We recognize that parenting coordination should not be another source of conflict—it should be a path toward resolution. By offering flexible formats and times, we help reduce stress and minimize disruption to your everyday life. Our goal is to support smoother communication, more effective decision-making, and better outcomes for both parents and children.
Every family is unique, and so are their schedules, needs, and concerns. Our attorneys are here to work with you to create a session plan that respects your time, encourages participation, and sets the stage for long-term co-parenting success.
If you’re seeking compassionate, accessible, and solution-oriented parenting coordination or facilitation services, we’re here to help—on your terms.
